Tartan

Tartan is a Java applet for rendering a tartan from a list of colors and thread counts, together with a CGI-based interface for browsing tartans by name.

Browser support for Java is increasingly rare, and support for unsigned applets is righly more rare. So, I’m no longer including online examples. You could use this in a web page by installing the approriate JRE from java.com and adding your web site to the appropriate exceptions list.

One could also whitelist this site and check out the instructions page.

Alternatively, it’s easier and safer to install a JDK from the same link and run appletview example.html
