Tom’s Hubcap Light is now . or refresh.
Tom’s Hubcap Light was made in 1993 from a late 80’s Chevy Corsica hubcap that I found in a parking lot near the corner of Lincoln and Oregon in Urbana, IL, a string of large clear Christmas tree lights purchased when Phar-Mor closed, and some duct tape.
It was first connected to the Internet on the afternoon of Saturday, September 18, 1999 when I got bored, and decided it would be easier than putting a switch on the cord.
Since there’s no hubcap-cam or anything, you’ll have to trust me that this actually controls a real hubcap. But, there are realistic simulated pictures and you probably wouldn’t be here unless I told you about the lamp anyhow.
